News

4th June 2013 – Completed the sale of the former gas governor site at Wharf Road, Penzance, to Churchill Retirement Living. The site is to be redeveloped to provide 5 new retail units and 60 units of sheltered accommodation and associated communal areas.

18th April 2013 – Our main contractor, Multibuild (part of the Balfour Beatty group) achieved practical completion on the works to deliver 92 new student accommodation units at 21-25 South Lambeth Road & 1 Langley Lane, London. This project has been delivered in 2 phases, with the first phase delivered in February 2013 and already being operated by The Mansion Group.

11th April 2013 – Our main contractor, Multibuild (part of the Balfour Beatty group) achieved practical completion on the works to deliver 112 new student accommodation units at the former Go-Ahead bus depot at Glanville Road/Cowley Road, Oxford for The Mansion Group.

22nd February 2013 – Completed the sale of the former cinema site at Northampton Road, Market Harborough, to Churchill Retirement Living. The site is to be redeveloped to provide 3 new retail units and 51 units of sheltered accommodation.

18th February 2013 – Our main contractor, Multibuild (part of the Balfour Beatty group) completed works to deliver the first of two phases to deliver a total of 92 new student accommodation units at 21-25 South Lambeth Road & 1 Langley Lane, London for The Mansion Group. The first phase of this development has been handed over to the client to complete fit out works and begin to operate from the property, while works continue to complete works to the development as a whole in the second phase.

28th January 2013 – Planning Permission was granted for 5 new retail units and 60 sheltered accommodation units at our site in Wharf Road, Penzance. The permission was granted upon appeal, and was a condition of the sale of the property to Churchill Retirement Living, who will develop and then operate the approved scheme.

9th November 2012 – Completed the sale of the freehold for The Magdalen in Earlsfield, London to a specialist freehold investor. The development consists of 38no residential units, including 10 owned by Thames Valley Housing Association, over a retail unit occupied by Sainsbury's. The development also benefits from a basement parking area, communal roof terrace, and Zipcar car club operating from the property. Construction commenced in 2008, and the final apartments were completed in late 2010.

20th September 2012 – Planning permission was granted for 3 new retail units and 51 sheltered accommodation units at our site in Northampton Road, Market Harborough. The permission was granted by Harborough District Council, and was a condition of the sale fo the property to Churchill Retirement Living, who will develop and then operate the approved scheme.

27th July 2012 – Planning permission was granted by Manchester City Council on 26th July 2012 for the redevelopment of 34 London Road and 2 – 6 Whitworth Street, Manchester. The part 8, part 14 storey development has been designed by Hodder and Partners, and comprises some 105000 sq ft/ 9780 sq m. Detailed design work is now taking place, with a start on site anticipated in early 2013.

25th May 2012 – Completed on the land purchase at the former Go-Ahead bus depot, Glanville Road, Oxford, Multibuild (part of the Balfour Beatty Group) has been contracted to construct the 112 – room student accommodation scheme, which will be owned and operated by The Mansion Group. Preliminary works have commenced on site, with the first phase scheduled for completion in late December 2012, and the second phase in late March 2013.

21st May 2012 – Contracts were exchanged for the land purchase for a scheme to provide 112 units of student accommodation totalling just over 3100 sq m / 33000 sq ft at Glanville Road, Oxford for The Mansion Group. The construction contract has been awarded to Multibuild (part of the Balfour Beatty group)with works due to start on site on Monday 28th May 2012, with phase one scheduled for completion in late December 2012, and phase 2 completing in late March, 2013.

29th April 2012 – Plans have been submitted for the redevelopment of 34 London Road and 2-6 Whitworth Street, Manchester. The part 8, part 14 storey development has been designed by Hodder and Partners and comprises some 105000 sq ft/ 9780 sq m. A decision on whether planning permission will be granted is expected in late June of this year.

18th December 2011 – Completed on the purchase of 34 London Road and 2-6 Whitworth Street,Manchester. The proposed redevelopment of the site will include the demolition of the existing properties, and construction of a new 330-room hotel for German hotel chain Motel One. An application for planning permission is expected to be submitted in spring 2012, and subject to planning approval works will commence on site in January 2013.

18th December 2011 – An Agreement to Lease has been agreed between Olympian Homes and German hotel chain Motel One in relation to 34 London Road and 2-6 Whitworth Street, Manchester, in what will be one of their first horels in England.

25th November 2011 – completed the sale of the final residential unit at The Magdalen in Earlsfield, London.

20th November 2011 - Completed on the purchase of 21-25 South Lambeth Road, Vauxhall, London. Multibuild (part of the Balfour Beatty Group) have been contracted to construct the 92 studio accommodation scheme, which will be owned and operated by The Mansion Group. Preliminary works have commenced on site, with completion of the first phase scheduled for February 2013, and the second phase scheduled for completion in April 2013.

October 2011 – Exchanged contracts to purchase 34 London Road and 2-6 Whitworth Street, Manchester, with redevelopment potential including construction of a new 330 bed hotel, subject to planning.

16th September 2011 – Our Main Contractor, Multibuild (part of the Balfour Beatty Group) achieved Practical Completion on the construction of a 138 room Travelodge hotel at Orchard Park, Cambridge on Wednesday 14th September 2011. The hotel commenced trading on Thursday 15th September 2011.

14th September 2011 – Contracts were exchanged for the land purchase for a scheme to provide 92 units of student accomodation at 21-25 South Lambeth Road, Vauxhall, London. The construction contract has been awarded to Multibuild (part of the Balfour Beatty Group) with works on site due to commence in November 2011, and scheduled to complete in January 2013.

12th January 2011 – Planning Permission was granted by Cornwall Council on 11th January 2011 for the redevelopment of the former gas govenor site on Wharf Road, Penzance. The development consists of 16,200 sq ft of office space, 5,000 sq ft of retail space, a 60 bed Travelodge hotel, 14 luxury residential apartments, and associated car parking, totalling a gross development area of 66,101 sq ft.

15th October 2010 – Exchanged and completed on the forward sale of the 138 bed Travelodge development in Orchard Park, Cambridge to Staffordshire County Council Pension Fund. We have entered in to a build contract with Multi-Build / Balfour Beatty and works are due to commence on site late November 2010 with the construction scheduled to complete in July 2011

29th September 2010 – South Cambridgeshire District Council granted planning permission for a 138 bedroom hotel development on Orchard Park, Cambridge, consisting of 45000 sq ft of development area and associated car parking

24th September 2010 - A planning application was submitted for our scheme in Penzance on Wharf Road, for a 60 bedroom Travelodge, 16,200 sq ft of offices, 5,000 sq ft of A1/A3 retail and 14 luxury residential apartments

7th September 2010 – Harborough District Council Planning Committee granted a 3 year extension to our current planning permission for 43 retirement homes and 5,023 square feet of retail space on Northampton Road, Market Harborough until 7th September 2013

31st March 2010 – Exchanged on a 25 year agreement to lease with Travelodge Hotels Limited for the scheme at Orchard Park, Cambridge

24th March 2010 – Completed on the sale of 10 shared ownership units at The Magdalen development in Earlsfield to Thames Valley Housing Association..

10th March 2010 – Planning application submitted for a 138 bedroom Travelodge Hotel on Orchard Park, Cambridge.

6th January 2010 – Completed on the sale of the 999 year lease for the Sainsbury’s unit in Earlsfield to Prudential's PRUPIM client fund.

24th December 2009 – Exchanged on the sale of the 999 year lease for the Sainsbury’s unit in Earlsfield.

23rd December 2009 – Exchanged on a site in Cambridge for the construction of a 150 Bed hotel subject to Planning.

12th September 2009 – Launched the first phase of the sales in Earlsfield.

24th April 2009 – Sale completed of Retail / Residential Property in Letchworth Town Centre’ .

5th September 2008 – Planning Permission granted for 43 retirement homes and 5,023 sq ft of retail space in Market Harborough.

7th May 2008 – Planning Permission granted subject to a Section 106 being agreed for 8,333 sq ft of retail and 10 residential flats in Ashby de la Zouch.
